Aw, major nostalgia pang! We used to play with the poor anoles when I was a kid. Now there are hardly any lizards around, thanks to my cat (not really mine, my daughter left her with us). I did see an Alligator lizard in a stump last year so there is hope, but Alligator lizards are not amenable to being held. Fierce. Also here the regular Geraniums are only pot plants for me, but I have an abundance of hardy ones that have decided to self-sow all over my beds and keep me from weeding as much.;-)
I grow my geraniums in planters, too - except for some of the scented geraniums.
If you are an anole fan, you would love my yard, Hannah. I have hundreds of the critters in my half-acre garden. (There are also a couple of ancient cats that roam the premises but they are non-predatory.) After dark, the Mediterranean geckos take over. Cute little guys! I'm guessing you don't have those in the Northwest either.
two of my favorite things ... anole and geraniums! :D
ReplyDeleteMine, too.
