The rain continued today. When it slowed briefly early this afternoon, I ran out to the rain gauge to see what tale it could tell me, but the poor thing had overflowed! It holds five inches, but it was completely full and overflowing so I'm not sure how much it had rained since I emptied it yesterday. At that time, it had 3.3 inches in it. Prior to that, the day before, I had dumped 0.8 inch out of it. So, let's see - that's 4.1 inches plus whatever we got overnight and today (at least 5 inches). Altogether, my best guess is well over ten inches total.
That seems to agree with the totals reported in Tomball and Magnolia and other weather stations in the area. What we know for sure is that it was a heckuva lot of rain! And we're told to expect more tomorrow.
So, how much rain did you get?
About 6 inches total ... so far ... for the week. I'm not going to complain!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that puts you on the low side, Snap. It certainly has been a wet week, but, like you, I'm not complaining!
DeleteI live in se harris county and since Monday I've gotten 8 inches! Joy, joy!!
ReplyDeleteAs I wrote earlier, "What a difference a year makes," huh, Anonymous?

ReplyDeleteWe have two rain barrels and they have WAY overflowed! Like you, I wish we had more and I'm going to get more at my earliest opportunity.
