Wordless Wednesday: RAIN!!!

  1. The rain was surely magnificent and thunder too ;) this is the strangest weather I have ever seen and quite scarey as well. We are very close to the grimes county fires. Even with the rain, it is still only 75% contained. We watched livestock trailers in a steady train down our road evacuating. I got worried we might be next. God is good and I pray He brings us more badly needed rain. Your Crepe Myrtle looks so fat and lush all swelled in rain water. I love that color ;) Happy Gardening

  2. We ended the day with 1.6 inches of rain, Pammy, and everything was washed clean. This morning, though, the soil still looks dry. It was so dry to begin with, it will take more rain before it really looks moist again. The forecasters tell us more is possible this week. Here's hoping!

  3. How fabulous! Us too--2 1/2 inches. Like hope falling from the sky.

  4. That's a great description of it, Kathleen - hope in a raindrop.
