I've heard from a few of my readers, but I doubt that many have followed me here. I'm glad you did!

Yes, the squirrels - and everything else, it seems - are hungry. They have access to one of my bird feeders and several of them visit daily. In the backyard, where they don't have access, I see them under the feeders all the time, picking up the seeds that have been kicked out by the birds. I'm actually thinking of buying a dedicated feeder for them. I do love my squirrels!Dorothy/Gardening with Naturehttp://gardeningwithnature.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2275431955885463071.post-24737492261601978542011-10-01T22:46:09.074-05:002011-10-01T22:46:09.074-05:00Yes, Plantwoman that pumpkin is amazing. It makes me think of the giant pods in the old horror movie " Invasion of the Body Snatchers ".

I hope your Chronicle followers find you. I miss the dialog!!!!!!!

Nothing is ripening in my garden. The squirrels are eating pecans green this year. Sunflowers are being snatched off the stocks as soon as the petals unfurl. The squirrels have been bringing the flowers onto the front porch to eat. I don't know if the squirrel are trying to get shade or if they are taunting me with their crumbs.Nancy Bee's Gardennoreply@blogger.com
